David L. Bathurst

David L. Bathurst, age 52, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at his home.  David was born August 24, 1954 in Mt. Clemens, MI., the son of Donald and Donna (Kohlhagen) Bathurst.  David was a 1972 graduate of Romeo High School.  David was currently employed at Gonzales Production Systems in Pontiac where he had worked since 1990.  He previously worked in the family business, the Don Bathurst Service Station in Romeo that was started by his grandfather Fred Bathurst in 1950.  David enjoyed hunting in his spare time.      David is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Miranda) of Linden, MI., and Darren of Swartz Creek.  Also survived by his mother Donna Bathurst of Romeo and his two sisters, Nancy Turner of Fountain, Colorado and Sandy (Mark) Kegler of Armada.  He was preceded by his son Ken and his father Donald.     Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 13 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Evans of St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating.  Burial will take place at the Romeo Cemetery.  Donations to either Karmonas Cancer or to Karmonas Hospice would be appreciated.
