David M. Hribar Sr., age 69, a 24 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Sterling Heights, passed away at the Heartland Medical Facility in Troy. David was born September 25, 1943 in Detroit, the son of Robert and Rose (Michelich) Hribar. He married the former Dawn Matthews on September 11, 1965 at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Detroit. David worked many years as an engineer for General Motors, starting at Detroit Diesel and then retiring from the Tech Center in Warren. His hobbies include being an avid ham radio operator, flying his model airplanes, working on his cars and motor home, and traveling the country. He was active with the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 of St Clement of Romeo, where his family has been members since moving to Romeo. He recently joined the 4th degree and helped with many rosaries for the deceased of the parish. David is survived by his wife Dawn, sons: David Jr. (Sheila) of Capac and Jeff (Theresa) of New Haven. Also survived by grandchildren Savannah and Jacob along with his brother Robert (Mary Ann) of Clinton Twp. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 with a 7:30 PM rosary by the Knights of Columbus at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations to the Knights of Columbus would be appreciated.
