Dean B. Teller

February 27, 1938 — March 13, 2012

Dean B. Teller, age 74, a lifelong Northern Macomb County resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at McLaren-Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens. Dean was born at the family farm in Ray Township on February 27, 1938, the son of Albert and Edith (Rowley) Teller. Dean, along with his sons, were the founders/owners of “Teller Excavating” in Ray Township. Dean retired in the early 1990’s and continued to work with his sons for many years. He spent his winters in Arizona and spent lots of time in St Helen, Michigan. His hobbies included boating, watching NASCAR racing, and being with beloved dog Leo. Dean is survived by his sons, Duane (Marianne) of Richmond Twp., Ron of Armada Twp., and Brian, also of Richmond Twp. Also survived by grandchildren Sara (Adam) Crane and Dean’s great granddaughter Emma, Dan (Krista), Jessica, Melissa, Rebecca, and Christina Teller. Surviving siblings include Phyllis Fiore of Almont, Donna Siewicki of Romeo & Barbara Jersey of Midland, MI. Dean was preceded in death by his siblings: Wesley, Norman, Jim, Lynwood, Reva Kleino, Janet Perry, Bill, Robert, & Harold. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 17 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Bud Leach of the Armada Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow in the Meade Cemetery in Macomb Township. Donations to the Michigan Humane Society or a cancer charity of your choice would be appreciated.
