Delphine P. Nuytten, age 83, a resident of Washington Township since 2001, passed away at her home on Monday, January 27, 2020. Delphine was born July 23, 1936 in Detroit, the daughter of Joseph & Lucy (Wejtaszek) Uchwat. Delphine earned a degree as a dental hygienist from the U of D Dental School in Detroit in 1958. After college in 1959, she married Joris Nuytten at the now called Duns Scotus College. After getting married, she raised her three children, loved to cook & shop, and was well known as an animal lover. Her faith was really important to her, currently attending St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo, and just being able to help anyone that needed her. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. Along with her husband Joris, Delphine of Washington Twp. is survived by her 3 children: Mark (Donna) Nuytten of Sterling Heights, Karen (Rick) Furtah of Kingsley, MI., and Laurie (Tom) Goral of Oxford along with 2 grandchildren Joseph & Marcus Goral. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan. Visitation will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 1-8 with a 7 PM rosary at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
