Denise Marie Jago

Denise Marie Jago, age 74 of Lewiston, Michigan and formerly a longtime resident of the Romeo area, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 19, 2017 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1943 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late, Walter and Dorothy (Kinsey) Christie. Denise was a member of the Lewiston Garden Club. She had a green thumb and loved flowers and gardening. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed to read mystery novels. She liked to watch Nascar racing and loved to make desserts. Above everything, she enjoyed time spent with friends and family and her cat, Smokey. She will be dearly missed. Denise is survived by her son, Todd (Jennifer) Kernaghan of Richmond; and companion, Bert Kernaghan of Romeo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Dorothy Christie; and sisters, Lisa and Amy. Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo from 1– 7 with a 6 PM service.
