Dennis Peter Konwinski

Dennis Peter Konwinski, age 79, a resident of Armada since 1980, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at home. Dennis was born June 1, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Frank and Anne (Gasiorowski) Konwinski. Dennis was a 1961 graduate of L’Anse Creuse High School. On June 24, 1967, Dennis married Nancy J. Henderson in Lapeer, Michigan. Dennis spent three years in the military before working for Ford Motor Company from 1965-2002 in the skilled trades. He also had his own shop called McFadden Machining from 1986-2010. Dennis enjoyed cars, especially building race cars, drag racing, tractor pulling, custom cars, and speed boats.

Dennis is survived by children, Lisa (Michael) Chambers of Florida, Mark Konwinski of Clinton Township, brother Richard (Sandra) Konwinski of Florida, grandchildren Sydney (Ty) Daugherty, Nolan Chambers, Pauline (Charles) LaFave, and Kayla Roughton, great-grandchildren Falynn Roughton, Lilian LaFave, and Lucas LaFave. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Nancy Konwinski, in 2015, and stepson Dale Roughton in 2019.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2 PM, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Suzy Todd officiating, with visitation from noon until 2 PM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 4PM-8PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
