Dennis R. Parrott, Sr., age 64, a 13 year resident of Imlay City/Lum and previously from Romeo, passed away on Sunday, December 30 at his home. Dennis was born September 11, 1948 in Mt Clemens, the son of Richard and Elizabeth (Racz) Parrott. Dennis married the former Joanie-Lee Beste on November 22, 1993 in Romeo. After graduating from Romeo High School in 1966, he started work with the Ford Tractor plant in 1974 and then retired from the Romeo Engine plant as a production supervisor because of health reasons in 2007. Dennis was a gifted musician, could play many instruments, and enjoyed all type of activities from hunting, fishing, duck hunting, and most of all being with his children and grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his wife Joanie-Lee of Imlay City, children: Scott Parrott of Almont, Timothy (Ivonne) Parrott of Shelby Township, Jennifer (Mike) Parrott of Washington Township, Elizabeth and Dennis Parrott Jr. both Imlay City. Also survived by his father Richard Parrott of Washington Township along with grandchildren Noah, Nicholas, Nathan, Preston, Logan, Joshlynn, and Aunna-Lee. Dennis is survived by his sister Pamela (Gary) Sprouse of Clinton Township and was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth, and children Joshua and Billy. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. James Olah, chaplain of the Advantage Hospice officiating. Burial will take place at West Berlin Cemetery. Donations to Advantage Hospice would be appreciated.(1309 S.
