Diana Maria Mabarak of Washington, MI was joyfully reunited with her Holy Father, in Heaven on April 26, 2020. She went peacefully, comforted by family. Diana was born November 1, 1948 in Michigan. She spent most of her childhood in California, later returning to Michigan where she graduated from East Detroit High School. In May of 1976 Diana married the love of her life, Klaus. She worked at the Osteopathic Hospital for 10 years. She later went to work at, and eventually retire from the Chrysler Corporation as an Executive Assistant. Not quite ready for retirement, Diana then spent 10 years as the Secretary of her church, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Diana was a profoundly gentle and giving woman. She was a loving and patient wife and mother. Her kind heartedness led her to give in many ways from leading Church Youth Groups and years of volunteering in the community including her church, The Samaritan House and other organizations. In 2012, Diana’s devotion to service led to her and Klaus being honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Diana was an avid reader. She loved the challenge of solving daily crossword and sudoku puzzles and could usually be found sitting at the kitchen table in the evening working on one. She loved to decorate and spent years searching for meaningful treasures to fill her home. She loved dogs and tulips and pretty things. Diana enjoyed many friends and social activities and could always be found at one of many local restaurants. Diana is survived by her devoted husband Klaus Mabarak , son Michael Mabarak and his wife Michelle, daughter Jodie (Mabarak) Southern and her husband Denny, grandsons Joshua and Jared Mabarak, sister in-law Linda McAdoo and her husband Wayne. Funeral services will be private with burial at the Romeo Cemetery. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Donations to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in memory of Diana would be appreciated.
