Dolores Potts Oberly

Dolores Potts Oberly, 90, born in Detroit, MI and formerly living in Clinton Township passed away at home on September 1, 2024.

Dolores was preceeded in death by her husband, Bill, of 61 years. Dolores will be missed by her ten children and their spouses: Terri (Glenn) Burt, Mary (Richard) Wakefield, Thomas Oberly and Leza Myers, Laurene (Thomas) Koller, Maureen (Dave) Eggert, Brian (Tammy) Oberly, Patrick (Laura) Oberly, Kathleen (David) Gray, Colleen (Russ) Fedewa, and Timothy (Angela) Oberly; many loving grandchildren, including: Noel Burt, Erin (Jon) Bening, Katie Myers, Chris Burt, Shawn (Sheena) Atnip, Stephen Jacobs, Shelby Jacobs and Jordan Rummel, Colin Wakefield and Aly Wingeier, Bee (Robert) Knoch, Amber (Jon) Gaines, Savannah (Joe) Salley, Charlie Myers and Jessica Sauber, Jen Koller, Jason (Lauren) Koller, Rachel Eggert and Ilhan Ko, Sarah (Ryan) Stein, Rebecca (Jorge) Dahms, Patrick (Theresa) Oberly, Stephanie (Alex) Easton, Nicholas Oberly, Carly Oberly, Kristina Oberly and Jon Bezenah, Brian Oberly and Stephanie Haist, Elizabeth (Cody) Oberly-Ball, Tara Gray and Alex Hock, Samantha Gray, Maggie Gray and Alex Taylor, Isabel Fedewa, Loretta Fedewa, Christina Oberly and Eric Kireta, and Alyssa Oberly; and 23 great grandchildren and extended family.

Dolores loved spending time with her big family, taking cruises and traveling, and reading books. When she could no longer read print books, she started spending her free time listening to audiobooks.

Visitation for family and friends from 8:30-9:30 and funeral mass at 9:30 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Michaels Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313. Lunch following service.
