Don D. Cunningham

Don D. Cunningham, age 88, a 20 year resident of the Washington/Romeo area passed away on February 21, 2016 at the Village Rehabilitation and Care Community in Armada, Michigan. He was born on April 7, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Don and Mary (Gelster) Cunningham. In his earlier years he was a United States Marine (Please see attached photo/story). Don loved to fish, bowl and play golf. He also enjoyed spending lots of time with his grandkids. Don worked as an Automotive Technician for many years in the Metro Detroit Area.. Don is survived by his children Bruce (Tiffany) Cunningham of Allenton, and Don D. Cunningham III of Traverse City. Also survived by his brother Bill (Mary) Cunningham and sisters Ruth Doughty of Arizona and Lucille Teasley of Waterford. Grandchildren Savanna, Mallory, Tristan, Jesse and great grandson Luke Gene. Don was predeceased by his wife Lyla and son Gene in 1983. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Eric Majeski officiating from Grace Lutheran Fellowship Church. Visitation will be Wednesday February 24, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
