Donald C. Wethy, age 85, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Medi-Lodge Nursing Home in Richmond, Michigan. Don was born July 18, 1928 in Roseville, MI., the son of Charles and Esther (Kage) Wethy. Don served his Country in both World War II in the Army and in the Korean War in the Air Force. After serving his Country, Don worked mostly as a truck driver, his last job being with Sun Hawk Van Conversion Company in Washington Township, MI. Don belonged to the VFW Post #2052 in Romeo and was a member of Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Bruce Township. Don is survived by his sister Noreen (LeeRoy) Barnum of Romeo along with children: Terry-Lynn Frazier of Hillard, Ohio, Laurie Ann Stewart of Georgia, and Randy Scott Wethy of Gainsville, Florida. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his siblings: Carl, Robert, and Dorothy Wethy. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 25 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Majeski of Grace Lutheran Fellowship officiating.
