Donald E. Deemer

Donald E. Deemer, age 80, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 in Mt Clemens, MI. Don was born August 21, 1929 in Highland Park, MI., the son of Eber and Nellie (Austin) Deemer. He marred Beverly Thompson in 1957 at the Rochester United Methodist Church. Don graduated from Romeo High School in 1947 and then attended both Central Michigan and Western Michigan Universities. He then worked for over 35 years as the office manager for Central Steel & Wire Company in Detroit. Don served his Country during the Korean War in the Army. His love of life was watching his grandkids grow up and enjoying their sport activities. Don is survived by his wife Beverly of Romeo, daughters: Linda (James Jr.) Dixon and Denise (Patrick) Laurain both of Romeo. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Gregory on July 28, 2009 and his brother Austin. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Harvey Cavender officiating. Burial of ashes will take place in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will start on Wednesday at 10 AM. Donations to the American Cancer Society or to the "Four Corners Football Club" would be appreciated. Visitation: on Wednesday from 10 AM - 11 AM Services: Wednesday at 11 AM a the Henry M.
