Donald Edward Cook, age 59, a lifelong Romeo area resident passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the home of his twin brother Doug and Diane in Armada Township. Don was born July 19, 1955 in Detroit, the son of Edward and June (Inderlied) Cook. Don worked at St. John Hospital in Detroit for over 20 years as a Supervisor of equipment in the Renal/Kidney division. Along with his wife Bev, they owned and operated Frontier Town Antiques for over 7 years in Washington Township. They then operated F.T. Antiques in Port Huron for two years. Don was a 1974 graduate of Romeo High School, served his country proud in the Air Force, and his hobbies include camping, kayaking, snowmobiling, boy scout leader, and had a love for the outdoors. Don is survived by his wife of 13 years Bev. Children surviving include Jennifer Cook of Clarkston, Jeffery (Sara) Cook of Bay City, Ron (Joy) Todd of Washington Township, Travis (Fiancé- Jordan) Todd of St Clair, Kristin Hertle of Sarnia, Ontario and Shannon (Paul) Peron of Corunna, Ontario. Also survived by 9 grandchild along with his mother June of Lake Orion and siblings: Ken (Janine) Cook of Romeo, twin Doug (Diane) Cook of Armada Twp., Dr. William (Kim) Cook of Shelby Township. Don was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Corey and brother Barry. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 2-7 with a 6:30 service at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Cremation to follow. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory to the American Cancer Society Hospice.
