H. Donald Feltner, age 89, a resident of Romeo for over 35 years passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Don was born May 4, 1924 in Detroit, the son of Bert and Ruth (Westfall) Feltner. Don served proudly in Army during WW II , enlisting in October of 1943 at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MI and then served with the 656th Tank Destroyer Battalion. His unit saw combat throughout Europe; earning two battle stars and Purple Heart for its action in the Ruhr Valley and the Rhineland area. He was discharged in January of 1946 as a Staff Sergeant. He married Barbara Sudborough and together they had 7 children. Surviving children include Robin (Donna) Feltner, Sue (Bryan) Dell, Michael (Gail) Feltner, Randy Feltner, Bryan (Deborah) Feltner, Kelly Feltner and son-in-law Bobby Knowles. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren, numerous great, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. Also survived by his brother Wayne (Mary) Krug, loving companion Roberta Kegler and a treasurery of many friends. Don was preceded by his daughter Kerry along with siblings: Doris (Franklyn) Pierce, Emmett (Leola) Krug, and Marilyn (Richard) Teifert. Memorial services will take place on Thursday from noon till 2 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans officiating a 2 PM Memorial Service. Local arrangements by the Henry M.
