Donald J. Lane

Donald J. Lane, age 57, a resident of Macomb County for over 25 years passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Don was born April 4, 1963 in Detroit, the son of Richard and Geraldine (Hug) Lane. Don, along with his partner Keith Robinson were the operator/owners/founders of Greenfield Collision in Detroit and since 1995, in Washington Township, Michigan. Don was well known for his contributions to the people that he knew. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed boating, just being on the Lake, and snowmobiling. Don is survived by his children: Dalton J. (Jesse) Lane serving in the Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska, Jessica A. Sanchez of Sterling Heights, Michelle A. (Joshua) Walker of Rochester and Hailey M. Lane of Washington Twp. Also survived by grandchildren Juliette & Adrianna. Don is also survived by his mother Dallas Lane and siblings: Richard (Lyndi) Lane of Shelbyville, KY., Sandra (Daniel) Sokolnicki of Oxford, MI., Laura (Christopher) Knuth of Yale, MI., Virginia (Deiter) Altz of Memphis MI., and Rachelle (Mark) Lamberson of Memphis, MI.  Don was preceded in death by his father Richard Lane on May 7, 2015 and his mother Geraldine.
