Donald R. Miller

Donald Robert Miller, age 87, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Donald was born September 3, 1935 in Detroit, the son of Donald Peter and Helen (MacDonald) Miller. He married Yvonne Yurenka 67 years ago in 1956 at St. Clement Catholic Church, Romeo. After serving his country proudly for 2 years in the Army, Don then apprenticed as a Tool and Die Maker for many years before being hired by Ford Motor Company, where he retired in 1997 as a Boring Mill Operator. Upon retirement, he got more time to enjoy his hobbies which included woodworking, fishing, golf, bowling, gardening and traveling.

Donald is survived by his wife Yvonne, children Donald Jr. (Mary) of Arizona, Larry (Terri) of Fairhaven, Bill & Caroline both of Romeo. Grandchildren include Chad (Trista) & Scott (Sarah) both of Ray Twp and Whitney (Mike) Czarnik. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by son Thomas in 2005, grandson Andrew in 2006 and great grandson Gavin in 2018.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8.
