Donald Robertson Mosher, age 90 of Romeo, passed away on January 11, 2017 at Angelicas Place. Don was born August 16, 1926 in Parish, New York, the son of Robertson and Florence (Foot). He was a graduate of Manlius Military School in Manlius, New York where he completed four years of high school. In 1945 he was inducted into the United States Army and sent to Germany in army of occupation. After the army he enrolled in Lycoming College at Williamsport, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1953. At Lycoming he played basketball and was chosen most valuable player. After Lycoming he came to Michigan where he met and married his wife, Virginia. A son Robertson was born in 1956. He taught Special Education in Detroit schools for 30 years and retired 1988. He was active in the Masons for many years. From 1965 to 1969 he was a Romeo village trustee and the Romeo Village president 1969 to 1970. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Virginia nee Jersey of Romeo and son Robertson C. Mosher of Pt. Harbor, North Carolina. His two sisters, many nieces and nephews, a grandson, Christopher McLeod, four great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Saturday January 21, 2017 at Noon with the Romeo Masonic Lodge 41 officiating. Visitation will be from 9 till the hour of service.
