Donald W. Kraft

Donald W. Kraft, age 67, a 37 year resident of Berlin Township, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakwood in Pontiac. Don was born August 13, 1943 in Roseville, MI., the son of Donald O. and Katherine (Kuntz) Kraft. He married Helene B. Goralczyk on October 22, 1965 in Roseville and she preceded him in death on August 30, 2006. Don worked 35 years before retiring in 2001 at the Chrysler Warren Stamping Plant in Warren as a tool room supervisor. Don loved to drag race his Dodge Challenger, ride his Harley Davison Motorcycle, belonging in the “Hog Chapter of Port Huron”, was an avid gun collector, and belonged to the Capac Masonic Lodge Forest Lodge. Don is survived by his children: Donna (Brad) Russell of Attica, Renee (John Dowling) Kraft of Berlin Twp., and Paul (Renee) Kraft of Lapeer. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with his sister Kay Bilkovic of Roseville. Don was preceded in death by his wife Helen, son Donald on February 19, 2007 along with his sister Marilyn Cook of Roseville and brother Otto Kraft of Rhode Island. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Steve officiating. Burial will take place at the West Berlin Cemetery. Donations to the United Way or wishes of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation will take place on Monday from 6-9 and on Tuesday from 2-9.
