Donna C. Knittel

Donna C. Knittel, age 78 of Romeo passed away on November 11, 2013 at her home. She was born in Detroit on August 10, 1935 the daughter of Charles and Eva (MacDonald) Cathcart. She married Otto Knittel on May 6, 1961 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Detroit. Along with her husband Otto they owned the South View Orchard from 1933-1998. She loved to golf, bowl, go on casino trips, and play Euchre. The love of her life was her family, she was very family oriented and loved her grandkids. Donna loved her Scottish ancestry and her Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Donna enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Gladwin, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Otto of Romeo. Children Joan (Edward) O’Donnell of Highland, Otto (Rocio) of Almont, and Steven (Lupita) of Roswell, Georgia. Grandchildren Devin, Rory, Riley, Taylor, Keegan, Madison, Anna, Gerard, and Samantha. Sisters Paula Cathcart IHM, Judy Washburn, Gloria Rivera IHM, and her sister in law Irma Pichler. Also, many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her brother Charles “Bub” Cathcart and sister Janet Sevakis. Funeral services will take place on Friday November 15, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Clement of Rome, Romeo Michigan with Fr. Stephen Reckker officiating with visitation from 9-10AM. Visitation will be on Thursday November 14, 2013 from 2-8 with a 7 PM Rosary followed by remebering. In lieu of flowers donations to Sisters IHM Ministry Fund would be appreciated. Visitation: Visitation will be on Thursday November 14, 2013 from 2-8 with a 7 PM Rosary. Services: Funeral services will take place on Friday November 15, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Clement of Rome, Romeo Michigan with Fr. Stephen Reckker officiating. Interment: Resurrection Cemetery/Crematory
