Donna M. Sieweke

Donna M. Sieweke, age 83, of Romeo, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Donna was born September 12, 1928, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Rowley) Teller of Ray Township. She married Marvin W. Sieweke who was preceded in death in May, 2000. Donna worked for many years winding fishing rods, and providing childcare in her home. She retired from Ford Motor Company where she worked in the food service department. Donna loved spending time with her family, playing cards, bingo and going to the casino. Her many hobbies included cooking, baking and crocheting. Many of her crocheted baby blankets were donated to hospitals for newborns. Donna is survived by her sons, Carl of Hartselle, Alabama, and Mark (Lisa) of Romeo; daughters, Marcia (Bob) Rick of Romeo, and Ann (Lon) Gatrell of Benzonia, Michigan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn (Larry) Francis, Tyler (Ines) Sieweke, Carie (Jason) Benoit, Kyle (Ursula) Rick, Blane Rick, Cayla (Matt) Garrison, Jennifer, Thomas, and Shane Sieweke, Zachary and Alexis Perry, and Becky and Kayla Gatrell, Great grandchildren include; Brian and Landon Francis, and Nolan, Brinley and Colson Benoit. She also has one great-great grandson; Brenden. Donna was preceded in death by her son, Richard, and her daughters-in-law, Sally and Pamela. Surviving siblings include Phyllis Fiore of Almont, Michigan and Barbara Jersey of Spruce, Michigan. Donna was preceded in death by her siblings: Wesley, Robert, Harold, Jim, Bill, Norman, Lynwood, Dean, Reva Kleino, and Janet Perry. Visitation will take place Saturday, 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-8 p.m. at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, April 16, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Evans of St. John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Donations to Hospice of Michigan or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
