Doris E. Bourgeois

Doris E. Bourgeois, age 84. a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy. Doris was born December 12, 1925 in Romeo, MI., the daughter of Fredrick and Lillian (Falk) Erdman. Doris married Sid Bourgeois in September of 1944 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1992. Doris worked many jobs over the years, mostly in the automotive field in assembly. Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, cooking, and mostly just being with her family and friends. Doris is survived by her children: Diane (Bill) Sapelak and David Bourgeois both of Romeo, and Leon (Butch) Bourgeois of Allenton. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and her brother Kenneth Erdman of Almont. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans of St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating. Burial will take place at the Bruce-Armada Cemetery in Bruce Township.
