Doris M. Roth, age 73, a 7 year resident of Clinton Twp., formerly a 9 year resident of South Dakota, 12 years in the Lewiston, MI., area, and previously from Romeo, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Village Rehabilitation & Care Center in Armada. Doris was born December 22, 1935 in Romeo, the daughter of George and Evelyn V. (Siegrist) Tisch. She married Donald E. “Digger” Roth on June 26, 1954 at St John Lutheran Church in Romeo and he preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2000. When living in Lewiston, she was a local real estate agent and upon moving to Clinton Twp., she volunteered at the Clinton Twp. public library. She had numerous hobbies including motorcycling with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, gardening, all type of crafts, working in her garden, bowling, and riding snowmobiles. Doris is survived by her daughters, Judy Cornwell of Clinton Twp., Sandra (Gene) Caldwell of Romeo and Lori (Dale) Dickey of San Jose, California. Grandchildren include Heidi (Dan) Garrity, Brandon, Melissa (Eric) Ballew, Nicole, Jennifer, Jimmy, & Christine. She was preceded in death by her sister Vivian Brady. Memorial services will take place on Mon. Aug 31 at 8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Steve Barkey of the Orchard Ridge Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be from 2- 8 PM on Monday with a service at 8 PM. A private burial will take place on Tuesday. Donations to the Village Rehabilitation & Care Center in Armada would be appreciated.
