Doris V. Watterson, age 94, a resident of Washington Township since 1940, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Doris was born March 25, 1919 in South Lyon, Michigan, the daughter of Clifford and Lulla (Prentice) Randal. She married Willard (Bill) Watterson on November 7, 1940 in Lapeer, Michigan. She worked for many years at the Chrysler’s Highland Park Tech Center in specification writing until her retirement in 1981. She was a well known beautician, seamstress and enjoyed traveling. Along with her husband, they were longtime members of the Washington United Methodist Church and a member of the Easter Star. Doris is survived by her husband Bill, children: Jean (Mike) Hacker of Virginia and David of Imlay City. Grandchildren include Leslie, Kathryn, & Brian and great grandchildren include Benjamin, Conner, & Abigail. Doris was preceded in death by her siblings: Marion, Clifford Jr., and Melvin. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Washington United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Schuman and Rev. Brent Webster officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
