Doris J. Warren

Doris J. Warren, age 88, a resident of Romeo since 1992 and formerly from Warren, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Shorehaven in Sterling Heights. Doris was born May 30, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas Charles and Martha (Cox) Tatum. Doris graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She married James P. Warren on October 5, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee. Doris worked for over 20 years as a secretary, mostly for Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Michigan. Her hobbies included reading and working in her garden.

Doris is survived by her children, Jeffrey Paul Warren of Clinton Township, April (Steve) Van Oast of Shelby Township, Gary (Amy) Warren of Chesterfield Township as well as 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 more coming this year. She is also survived by siblings Judith (George) Bergman and Kenneth (Linda) Tatum. Doris was predeceased by her husband James P. Warren in 2023.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, at 11:00 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Pastor Dan Nelson of the Southern Baptist Church of Chillicothe, Ohio officiating with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery along side of her husband James who preceded her in death on December 17, 2023. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
