Dorotha Owen

Dorotha (Hutsun) Owen age 89, passed away at her home in Armada on August 4, 2019. Dorotha was born on March 24, 1930 to the late Hassell and Lillian (Clark) Hutsun in Buchanan Tennessee. Dorotha married Edrick Owen on February 12, 1950. She enjoyed being active in the church for 46 years, sewing, tending to her flowers and taking care of her family. Dorotha is survived by her loving husband Edrick; children Rick Owen of Rochester Hills, MI, Mike (Karen) Owen of Jones, MI, Rebecca (Anthony) Selaty of Peck, MI and Jeffrey (Margarett) of Kimball Twp, MI; sisters Catherine Smotherman of Kentucky and Marge Henry of Ohio; grandchildren Kimberly Owen, Nathanial (Andrea) Owen, Bethany (Charlie) Haberski, Bradley (Julie) Owen, Heather (Justin) Jacobs, Aubrey Selaty, and Hanna (Jacob) Nall; as well as 13 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Washington (58774 Van Dyke Ave, Washington, MI 48094) on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 11 AM. Visitation and fellowship will occur prior to service from 9:30-11AM at the church. Local arrangements made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
