Dorothey L. Peters

January 6, 1937 — August 2, 2011

Dorothey L. Peters, age 74, a 60 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Dorothy was born January 6, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of Raoul and Alice (King) Caron. She married Gary G. Peters on June 8, 1957 at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo. Dorothy worked for George VanHoutte at the Northern Farm Market for over 20 years. She previously worked at the family farm and greenhouse on their 35 mile road farm. Dorothy was extremely artistic, helping her son Dale with his stain glass windows, making floral arrangements for resale, and was an accomplished oil painter.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Gary, children: Dale Peters of Boulder, CO. and Laurie Peters of Elgin, IL. Also survived by siblings: Ann (Burt) Juengel of Armada Twp., Evelyn King of Clawson, Bernice Eaton of Oxford, MI., Richard (Janet) Caron of Johannesburg, MI., Shirley Wilde of Wish Ram, WA., Earl (Martha) Caron and Ken (Cindy) Caron both of Oxford, MI., and Clyde (Debbie) Caron of Dryden, MI. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother Jim Caron.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 5 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo. Donations to the family would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.

A private family burial of her cremains, alongside her husband Gary, took place at Bruce Armada Cemetery on August 11, 2023.
