Dorothy J. Herfert

Dorothy J Herfert, age 95, a lifelong Romeo resident area passed away on Sunday April 2, 2017 at Wellbridge of Romeo Nursing Facility. Dorothy was born November 1, 1921 in Armada, Michigan, the daughter of Harlan and Madeline (Watt) Meeker. Dorothy married Harold Herfert and he preceded her in death in 1990. Dorothy worked as a school bus driver for the Utica School System for 10 years before retiring in 1975. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, bingo, crossword puzzles and playing cards. Dorothy is survived by her children Bill Herfert of Ashton, Sharon (Marv) Craft of Washington Twp., Carol Herfert, and Butch (Juli) Herfert of Gaylord. Also survived by many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Monday April 10, 2017 at 10 AM. Visitation will be on Sunday April 9,2017 from 5-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will be at Davis Cemetery (27 & Romeo Plank).
