Dorothy J. Teller

Dorothy J. Teller, age 83, a resident of the Romeo area from 1963 to 1984, back in Romeo as of 2018, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Dorothy was born June 3, 1938 in Adrian, Michigan, the daughter of Olin and Marguerite (Jones) Davis. She graduated from New Haven High School. Dorothy earned her RN Degree from Macomb Community College. She worked in the Substance Abuse field for St. Joseph and St. John’s Hospitals for many years. Dorothy was well known as a poet and many people got to enjoy her poetry over the years. Dorothy is survived by her 3 children: Ken (Lisa) Kaikkonen of Attica, Kirk (Rebekah)Kaikkonen of White Lake, and Kelly Kaikkonen of Grand Blanc. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sisters Marilyn (Dick) Bruce of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Nancy Lagalski of Lapeer. Services will be private with a burial by her parents at the Meade Cemetery in Macomb, Township, Michigan. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Mich.
