Douglas R. Lashbrook, age 74, a resident of Port Hope, Michigan since 1995 and previously from Macomb Township Michigan, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at his home. Doug was born March 20, 1946 in Detroit, the son of Roland and Stella (Mroz) Lashbrook. For 14 years, Doug worked as a machine repairman for Uniroyal Tire in Detroit. He loved to restore historical old houses which he did his whole life all across the country. In 1995, upon moving to Port Hope, Doug was a self-employed local house painter and was the owner/operator of “Northern Attic Antiques” in Port Hope. Doug is survived by his brother Kenneth of Lapeer along with nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Roland, and sister-in-law Sally. A Memorial gathering will be on Friday from 9:30 AM—noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with burial to take place at the East Berlin Cemetery in Berlin Township, Michigan.
