Dr. Kevin M. Ankoviak

Dr. Kevin M. Ankoviak, age 51, a resident of California for 29 years, passed away on March 26, 2014 in Pleasanton, California. Kevin was born October 1, 1962 in Detroit, the son of John and Marietta “Carmen” Ankoviak. After graduating from Romeo High School as its Valedictorian in 1980, Kevin did his undergraduate work at U of M and graduated in 1985. He then moved to California and got his PH.D. in nuclear physics at UC Los Angeles. He currently taught Physics and Astronomy at Las Positas Community College in Liverpool, California. His hobbies included watching movies, especially Star Wars and Star Trek , building models, and visiting Disneyland. Kevin is survived by his mother Marietta (Carmen) Siblings Scott and sister Cheryl all of Romeo. Also survived by his special friend Susan Poorman of California. He was predeceased by his father Jack in 2012. Memorial Mass will be said on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with Fr. Stephen Reckker officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10 AM until 11 AM. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
