Duane Robert Ives

Duane Robert Ives, age 75, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his home. Duane was born August 17, 1933 in Highland Park, MI., the son of Leland and Hazel (Rowe) Ives. He married Catherine M. Hill on July 24, 1954. Duane graduated from Romeo High School and retired from American Motors after 30 years working in skilled trades as a clay modeler. He served his Country during the Korean War as an Army Airborn paratrooper. Duane joined the Striber-McVicar Post #2052 where he was a member for many years. Duane is survived by his wife Katie of Romeo, son, Dennis (Sue) Ives of Romeo, a brother Larry (Linda) Ives of Sturgis, Michigan along with four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Darrell Ives. A private Memorial Service may be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
