E. Louise Davis, age 79, a 14 year resident of Rochester Hills, Michigan and formerly from Detroit, passed away at her daughter’s home in Dryden on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Louise was born December 19, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of Finley and Ida (Clines) Steeves. She married Raymond D. Davis in 1954 and he preceded her in death in 1977, never remarried and dedicated her life to her children and their families. Louise worked in the plastic molding injection as an assembler for many years, retiring from the Collins & Aikman Co. They were well known for making interior trim componets. Her hobbies included reading, golfing, and seeing movies with her friends on Sundays. Louise is survived by her children: Raymond (Wendy) of Macomb Township and Debra (Michael) Haynes of Dryden. Also survived by grandchildren, which she was referred to as the “Mean Grandma” “Even though she wasn’t”, Alyssa, Zachary, Michael (Jody), and Amanda (Jason) along with great grandchildren Dakota, Brody, and Addison. Siblings include Bruce (Bonnie) Steeves of Copemish, MI., Romie (Thweatt) Steeves of Battle Creek, MI., and Evelyn Major of Madison Heights, MI. Louise also had two brothers that preceded her in death, Eugene Clines and Alan Steeves. Memorial services will take place on Saturday from 2-8 PM with a 7 PM religious service officiated by Joe Love, M.Div at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo Michigan 48065). Donations to the family or to the “the Care Team” hospice would be appreciated.
