Earl C. Peetsch

Earl C. Peetsch, age 90, a resident of Romeo, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Earl was born May 3, 1920 in Detroit, the son of Herman and Margaret (Grimm) Peetsch. He married the former Shirley Brown on September 23, 1950. Earl attended Wayne State University and then worked as an Engineer for Chrysler Corporation in Warren, MI. for many years until retirement in the 1980’s. Upon being married, he moved to Romeo and enjoyed watching Tiger Baseball games, working on his historical house and its yard. Earl served his Country in the Army and was a member of the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Washington Township. Earl is survived by his wife Shirley of Romeo, children: Shelly (Wolfgang) Mueller of Harrietta, MI., Elaine (Jim) Grosjean of Hertford, North Carolina, and Keith (Theresa) Peetsch of Washington, MI. Grandchildren include Chad (Marie) Weideman, Sherri Bennett, Nathan (Ann Marie) Weideman, and John (Sarah), Aaron, & Joel Grosjean. Great grandchildren are Sophia & Nicholas Weideman, William & Chasidy Bennett, Eve Weideman, and Allison Grosjean. Earl is also survived by his sister Ruth Watson of Belding, MI. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 15 at 11 AM at the Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Washington Township with Pastor John Liebenow officiating. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Donations to Cross of Glory Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
