Earl E. Glentz, age 84, of Ray Township and formerly from Rogers City, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, MI. Earl was born March 19, 1926 in Detroit, the son of Albert and Agnes (Dost) Glentz. He married the former Flora Schrader on April 26, 1952. Earl was a carpenter in the area for 52 years, working for many contractors, builders and belonged to the Carpenters Union # 114 of Eastpointe since 1951. Earl served his Country during WW II in the Army serving in the Philippines from 1943 till 1945.Earl, along with his family were long time member of the Davis United Methodist Church. Earl was also a accomplished bowler and bowled many years at the Peach Pit Lanes in Romeo. Earl is survived by his wife Flora of Ray Twp., children: Albert (Julie) Glentz of Ray and Bonnie (Tom) Boughner of Houghton Lake, MI. Also survived by 4 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Earl is also survived by siblings: Frank of Rogers City, Dorothy Claus of Hawks, MI., and Louis of Alabama. Earl was preceded in death by his siblings John, Anthony, Marion Kortman, Caroline Friedhoff, Ernest, & Russell. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Paul Werner of the Living Hope of the Bay Church. Burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township. Visitation: on Saturday from 7-9 on Sunday from 2-9 Services: Monday at 11 AM at the FuneralHome Interment: Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township.
