Edna M. Ellis, a 58 year resident of Washington Township, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at her home. Edna was born May 18, 1916 in Bell Haven, Virginia, the son of Leonard Bagwell and Lillian P.(Wilson) Mason. She married William Ellis on October 21, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1999. Edna worked as a babysitter for the local kids for many years. She previously worked as key punch operator for the government and used her skills as a key punch/typist to keep in touch with her many friends & family over the years. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and a longtime member of the Kingdom Hall in Washington Township. Her hobbies include sewing & cooking. Survived by her sister Evelyn Mason, sons: Kenneth (Kimberly) of Ray, Philip (Margaret) of Romeo & Stephen Ellis of Irvine, California. Also survived by grandchildren Keenan, Sarah, Bret, and Nicole Ellis along with great granddaughter Olivia. Services will take place on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1 PM with a Memorial talk by Steve Palen at the Henry M. Malburg Fueral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will be from 3-8 Thursday, and 10 till 1 PM on Friday when the Memorial Talk will start. Burial will take place at Mt Vernon Cemetery in Washington Township. Donations to the Reverence Hospice or a Hospice of your choice would be appreciated.
