Edrick Miller Owen age 90, passed away at his home in Armada on January 28, 2021 with his family by his side. Edrick was born on November 10, 1930 in Hazel, Kentucky, the son of Orville & Audi (Erwin) Owen. He married Dorotha Jean(Hutson) on February 12, 1950. He served in the U.S.Army in the Korean War for 2 years. For 46 years, he owned/operated Edrick M. Owen Inc. Construction company in Clinton Township, building commercial buildings in the Metro Detroit area. He worked until the age of 77 to enable him to support missionaries around the world. Upon retirement, he spent more time in his garden and serving at his church, First Baptist Church of Washington. Edrick is survived by his children: John E. Owen of Rochester Hills, MI, Robert M.(Karen) Owen of Jones, MI, Rebecca (Anthony) Selaty of Peck, MI and Jeffrey (Margarett) Owen of Kimball Twp, MI; Also survived by his sister Jane (James) Easley of Kentucky along with grandchildren Kimberly Owen, Nathanial (Andrea) Owen, Bethany (Charlie) Haberski, Bradley (Julie) Owen, Heather (Justin) Jacobs, Aubrey Selaty, and Hanna (Jacob) Nall; as well as 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Frederick, and his parents, Audi Owen and Orville Owen. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 2021, visitation at 10:00 am, service at 11:00 am, at the First Baptist Church of Washington (58774 Van Dyke Ave, Washington, MI 48094.) Local arrangements made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
