Edward C. Lester, (Eddie) age 51 passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 due to complications from a cancer diagnosis. Eddie was born February 2, 1967 in Mt Clemens, MI., the son of Bettie (Murphy) and Robert F. Lester Sr. He was a long time resident of Romeo who graduated from Romeo High School in 1985. He was employed as a delivery driver , co-owner of Candyman Vending Services, and helped manage family owned ice cream parlors in Harrisville and Romeo. Most recently he was disabled to due to work disabilities. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, going up north, listening to a variety of music and was known as an excellent cook and baker who enjoyed preparing family and holiday dinners. He was a member of the Mt. Clemens Fraternal Order of Eagles # 1269. In many ways, he volunteered for the Striber-McVicar VFW Post 2052, Romeo; including cooking and donating food for various functions and worked on the parade committee where he helped decorate and drove floats that featured themes that honored our veterans. Eddie is survived by his mother Bettie M. Lester of Romeo, father Robert F. Sr. (Carol) of Algonac, MI along with his loving sister Janice (Lester) Fouchey of Romeo and brother Robert Jr. (Debe) Lester of Mt Clemens, MI and special nephew Tyler. He was preceded in death by his infant sister Sheila Anne, former brother-in-law Chanler V. Fouchey and several close cousins. Funeral services are private. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
