Eileen M. Mcniff

Eileen M. McNiff, age 77, a 47 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Eileen was born May 23, 1934 in Manchester, England, the daughter of Humphrey and Edna Rowlands. She married Edward McNiff in Novmeber of 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts. Upon marring Edward, they moved to the Romeo area, and for many years she was the secretary at the Romeo Middle School. She previously worked at Holly Carburetor in the Detroit area. Her hobbies include gardening, doing all kinds of volunteer work, especially with the Samaritan House, reading, sewing, and knitting. Eileen was a longtime member of St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Romeo. Eileen is survived by her husband Edward, daughter Sarah (John) Haning of Romeo along with grandchildren: Kyle, Jonathan, Derek, and Warren. Also survived by her brother Dai Rowlands and her sister Muriel (Gavin) Reed both of England. Memorial services will take place on Friday, June 3 at 8 PM the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Stacy Salles of St Paul’s Episcopal Church of Romeo officiating. Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 3 from 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
