Eileen M. Thurston

Eileen M. Thurston, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Village Rehab & Care Center in Armada, Michigan. Eileen was born March 8, 1924 in Mt Clemens, MI., the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Broe) Winkler. Eileen enjoyed cooking, entertaining her many family & friends, playing cards, bowling, & golfing. She is survived by her two children: Chuck (Nancy) Thurston of Atlanta, MI. & Linda (John) Kidd of Washington Twp., along with grandchildren: Michelle (Scott) Simpson of Leonard, MI., Tracy (Bill) Gottschalk of Rochester, MI., Lisa (Brad) Grems of Oakland, MI., Matthew Paschick of Miami, April (Alex) Patchak of Armada, Elizabeth (Blake) Cryderman of Armada, and Sarah (Brian) Mauzy of Dryden, MI. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by husband Merrell in the year 2000 and 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 2 at 11 AM at St Kieran’s Catholic Church in Shelby Twp. with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Mt Clemens, MI. Local arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation: Saturday November 2, 2013 from 10-11 at St. Kieran's Catholic Church Services: Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 2 at 11 AM at St Kieran’s Catholic Church in Shelby Twp. with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Mt Clemens, MI.
