Elaine A. Theut

Elaine A. Theut, age 82 a resident of Romeo since 1977, passed away on October 30, 2018. Elaine was born June 27, 1936 in Mt Clemens, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Deforest and Amanda M. (Bossow) Schlaff. She married Edwin Theut II, on September 7, 1957 at St Louis Catholic Church in Mt Clemens, Michigan. Along with her husband and children, they were owners/operators of Theut Products Inc.. Her hobbies included oil painting, ceramics, gardening, and crocheting. Along with her family, they were longtime members of St Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Romeo. Elaine is survived by her husband Ed, children: Edwin J. (Karen) of Romeo, Eric (Mary) of Chesterfield Twp., and Evan & Elena both of Romeo. Grandchildren include Amanda (Ryan) Meerschaert, Samantha (Brad) Meyers, Edwin IV, Alyssa (Tim) Child, Austin (Megan), Sarah, Jordan, Katie, Josephine, Evan II, Elaine, & Evalyn. Great grandchildren include Ryan, Avery, & Rhett Meerschaert, and Lucas Meyers. Funeral service will take place on November 3, 2018 at 10 AM at St Clement of Rome Catholic Church in Romeo, MI with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Baltimore, Michigan. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1 from 4-8 PM, Friday, November 2, from 2-8 PM with a rosary by the Knight of Columbus, Council # 7018 at 7:30 PM on Friday. Donations to the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
