Eleanor M. Anderson

Eleanor M. Anderson, a lifelong resident of the Detroit area, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the The Village Assisted Living in Armada. Eleanor was born December 26, 1913 in Detroit, the daughter of George and Effie (Dowler) McDonald. She married Ralph Anderson on December 14, 1940 in Detroit and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1980. Eleanor enjoyed traveling and seeing the world, belonging to the Women’s City Club of Detroit, the Nardin Park United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills where she was active in its Women’s group, and also belonging to Bridge Clubs, Investment clubs, and to the Red Run Country Club. Eleanor is survived by her son Donald (Melissa) Anderson of Chesterfield Twp., (formerly from Romeo) along with grandchildren Amanda (Donley) Norris, Brian (Rachel) Anderson and Cara (Tadd Siglow) Anderson and 7 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date with entombment at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. Donations to the Salvation Army or to the Hospice of Michigan would be appreciated.
