Elsie J. Berlin

Elsie J. Berlin, age 84, a 20 year resident of Romeo, passed away on October 5, 2015 at the WellBridge of Romeo. She was born on October 4, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan and is the daughter of Adolph and Bertha (Haack) Gabelman. Elsie retired in 1993 from Romeo Community Schools as a bus driver for 11 years and crossing guard for 20 years on Hollister Street. Elsie is survived by her children; Michael (Victoria) of Capac and Ken (Veronica) of Almont. Grandchildren include Jessica and David and great grandchildren include Sara and Nathan. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harvey in 2010, and siblings Otto, Edna Krueger, Clara, Emil and Charles. Funeral services will take place at 7 PM on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Evans officiating. Burial will follow on Thursday at 11 AM at the Bruce Cemetery in Bruce Township (Fisher and Taft). Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 7, 2015 from 3 PM until 8 PM.
