Emma Jean Laing

Laing, Emma Jean (Fachilla) of Sterling Heights, MI – formerly of Romeo, MI – originally from Elkhorn, WV – has died. Mrs. Laing was an RN for most of her entire adult life, including service in the Army Nurse Cadet Corps in WWII.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Glenn and is survived by her loving children Kathy, Elizabeth (the late Steve Seyer) and Glenn (Rebecca Marsden), as well as her rescue cat Pumpkin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1- 8pm, with a Nurses Honor Guard beginning at 6:30pm.

Funeral Service will begin at 7pm by Reverend Father Andrew Yavornitsky, all will take place at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
