Emma Mitchell

Mitchell, Emma Louise (Godsey) of Romeo. July 19, 2007. Louise was born May 28, 1925 in Madison, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of Jonas Plas Godsey and Cora (Cox) Godsey.  Louise was predeceased by her husband James Paul Mitchell, her parents, and nine siblings.  She is survived by four children, Joyce Mitchell of Birmingham, AL., Donna (Bob) Rumi of Clinton Twp., MI., Larry (Julie) Mitchell and Glenn Mitchell both of Romeo and a sister Earsil Dillon of Bradenton, FL. Along with 5 grandchildren Sean Rumi, & Kelly, Paul, Eric and Joel Mitchell all of Michigan, and many nieces & nephews.  Louise was baptized as an adult at the Dequindre Road Baptist Church in Warren, MI.  She served God as a choir member, adult Sunday School Teacher, financial secretary, and in behind-the-scenes roles in that congregation for the many years that she was active.  Her joys included her family, her church, her friends, cooking, and sewing.     Her immediate family will conduct a private service to celebrate her life and the legacy she leaves.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  Arrangements by the Henry M.
