Eugene B. Keitz

Eugene B. Keitz, age 83 a 36 year resident of Almont passed away on November 1, 2016 at Wellbridge of Romeo. Eugene was born on July 11, 1933 the son of Barney and Stella (Chrzanowski). After completing high school Eugene joined the Army where he was in the 101st Airborne during the Koren War. On November 16, 1957 he Married Mary Fowler at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. He worked for 35 years at the Chrysler Sterling Stamping Plant and at the time of retirement he was a Supervisor for the tool room. Eugene loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, cars, and being with his family. Eugene is survived by his loving wife Mary of Almont. Children Kevin (Maggie), Keith (Laura) of Armada, Kelly Keitz-Sawinski of Lapeer, and Kimberly (Kurt) Karpinski. One sister Elenor Kiczula of Florida. 10 grandchildren and 7.5 great grand children. Funeral services will take place on Saturday November 5, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Cornelius Catholic Church (3834 North Mill Rd., Dryden MI 48428). Visitation will be Friday November 4, 2016 from 3-7 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ferguson Cemetery in Almont, Michigan where full Military Honors will take place.
