Eugene Edward Miller

Eugene Edward Miller passed away Thursday, September 28 at Wellbridge of Romeo at the age of 84. He was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan to Edward and Grace Miller, March 22, 1933. He married Lola Foss in August of 1964, and they were married 53 years. Gene leaves his wife and three children; Kristen (George) Paleudis, Holly (Troy) Forrest, and Stephen (Carrie) Miller, as well as two grandchildren, Hayden and Kellen Forrest. He was predeceased by his brother Darwin Miller, and his sister, Eunice Plester. He is survived by his brother, Terry (Pat) Miller.  Gene graduated Wayne State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and spent the majority of his career at Detroit Edison. He served four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the Midway, and the Valley Forge, during the Korean War.  Gene loved his wife and family, home, and a variety of hobbies. Woodworking was his favorite hobby. He tended the many flowers he planted, and could fix almost anything.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.  A memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 AM, at St. John Lutheran Church, 246 Benjamin St., Romeo, Michigan.
