Eva M. Sable, age 93, a lifelong resident of Washington Township passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Eva was born July 11, 1922 in Kitchner, Canada, the daughter of Michael and Mildred (Hartnet) Harnack. She married Bruce E. Sable on January 23, 1943 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Pickney, Michigan and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. Eva worked during her lifetime for Michigan Bell Telephone in Pickney, Michigan and for a few years at Twist Drill in Rochester, Michigan before wshe retired and stayed home to raise her children. Along with her family, they were longtime members of St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. She was also a member of the Washington Garden Club & Extension Club and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, and doing crossword puzzles. Eva is survived by her children: Carolyn (John) Busenstein of Alden, Michigan, Teresa (David) Knysz of Romeo, and Bruce (Sandy) Sable of Lake, Michigan. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by her son David in 2001 and her brother Michael Harnack. Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 22 at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo at 10 AM with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
