Florence Lyczynski

Florence Lyczynski, age 87, a 15 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Florence was born July 21, 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of Stanley & Mary (Smolinski) Twardy. She married Martin Lyczynski and he preceded her in death in 2000. Florence worked many years at Fisher Body and retired in 1987. Upon retirement, she enjoyed being on her senior bowling league, going to casino’s, being at her cottage, played cards, and was a long time member of the Romeo Senior Citizens. She was devoted to her church, St Clement of Rome where she helped with making rosaries for the needy. She enjoyed all types of crafts, but most of all, enjoyed being with her many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and being a part of all of their activities. Florence is survived by her children: Mary Ann (Norm) Ellsworth of Romeo, and daughter in law Joanne Lyczynski of Chesterfield Township, brother Ronald (Theresa) Twardy of Warren. Sister-in-laws, Marjorie (Carmen) Cornacchia and Theresa Twardy. Grandchildren include Martin (Ann), Richard (Regina) & Melissa Lyczysnski, Brian and Greg Ellsworth. Great grandchildren include Steven (Lillie) Brittany, Cassie, Elizabeth, Lydia, Austin, & Melody. Great great grandchildren include Lucas & Kobe. She was predeceased by her husband Martin in 200 and her son Martin in 2010. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be on Tuesday October 8, 2013 from 2-8. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo MI. .
