Florence Marie Thompson

 Florence M. (Howell) Thompson – lifelong resident of Romeo, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. Florence was born in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1942 – She married Maurice “Pork” Thompson in 1962 in Romeo, at St. Clement Catholic Church.

 Florence enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting her favorite treasures, spending time with her family and her dogs. Florence hosted Peach Festival, Blue and White Collection, also loved Rumikub, puzzles, crocheting, cooking, and canning. She also liked watching Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune, but most of all, her family was the most important to her.

 Florence is survived by her children: Kim (Bill) Rogers of Almont, Tammy (Dave) Lott of Capac, Joe (Brenda) Thompson of Holly, Paul Thompson of Romeo, son in law Mike Richard, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

 Florence was preceded in death by her husband Pork, daughter Tracy, grandson Jr., brother Chuck, and sister Caroline. 

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 1:00-8:00 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo.

 Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery.
