Frances (Boggs) Mazur, age 78, pass away after a long illness on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in Gladwin, MI. Frances was born on May 31, 1931, in Clinchco, Virginia to Oscar & Bessie (Reedy) Sexton. She first married Herman Boggs who preceded her in death in 1976. She then married Richard Mazur on Dec. 10, 1983. Frances worked as a dietician at the Almont Community Hospital for many years. She retired to Gladwin area where she had lived for the last 12 years and previously lived in St Clair Shores, MI. She loved to cook and was well known for her homemade Strawberry Jam and Bread & Butter Pickles. She is survived by her husband Richard of Gladwin, children: Jim (Nancy) Boggs of Kentucky, Doug (Karen) Boggs of Romeo & Vickie (Scott) Boos of Minnesota. Grandchildren include Chad, Angie, Kelly, Jason, Casey & Lisa along with 13 great-grandchildren. Her sister Betty Chandler of Madison Heights also survives. Along with her first husband Herman Boggs, she was also preceded by her parents, her son Kerry, brother Sonny and her sister Bonnie. Memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Striber-McVicar Post #2052 in Romeo, from noon—5 PM. Her ashes have been placed by her husband Herman & son Kerry at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation: at the Striber-McVicar Post # 2052 in Romeo Interment: Inurnment will be at the Romeo Cemetery
